Anniversaries are meaningful. Wedding anniversaries, work anniversaries, company inception anniversaries are all worth celebrating. Conduit Resources is celebrating its 5 year anniversary in 2020 and while there is a lack of champagne toasts (at least in person) it is still worth acknowledging and celebrating this special occasion.
Conduit Resources began, as many of the oil and gas tech start-ups did since the last major oil price crash of 2015; amid a desperate push to create efficiencies and drive value. Charlie Strickler (CEO) and Bob Killingsworth (Software Engineer) had been working on solutions for data management and integration of disparate data sets at Forest Oil Corporation when they decided to build what is known today as The Energy Data Conduit. Before Conduit the capability for robust analytical software applications to ingest various local sources of data via SQL databases and remain evergreen was only achieved at great cost by a select few operators. Now these valuable and affordable data management products are available to oil and gas companies of all sizes and operational strategies.
In January of 2015, armed with a small team of incredibly sharp software engineers and industry professionals, Conduit was formed. Within the first year, Conduit had signed 12 companies and knew they had a viable product for the oil and gas market. Today Conduit serves roughly 95 clients and 17 different data sources for both proprietary and vendor data stores.
Just because 2020 has been somewhat of a bust, especially for the oil and gas business, Conduit has not altered its focus on providing the industry-leading, cost-effective data management software product. We are diligently working on new capabilities and still signing new clients during this pivotal time in energy technology. Because the bottom line of what we do is save people time and money.
No Anniversary should be celebrated alone, so thank you to all our Clients and Partners that have helped our dream become a reality. We are very excited to see what the next 5 years hold for Conduit and the energy industry.
Thanks,
The Conduit Team
